The Gift of Gratitude

It all begins with an idea.

I have become more understanding of the gift of gratitude over the years. When a person has experienced their rock bottom, they really are just grateful to not be in that space any longer. I have experienced joblessness and homelessness in my adult years, and I know how powerful the mindset of gratitude can be in moving forward. Even though I am not where I want to be, I am grateful for where I am.

Improves Relationships: You can improve your relationships with others by showing gratitude for what others bring into your life. Being on the receiving end of gratitude is a great feeling and fosters the continuing of positive behaviors and experiences.

Improves Psychological Health: Shifting your mindset to gratitude can help combat the emotions of frustration, jealousy, and regret. Making the conscious decision to focus more on what you are grateful for leaves little space for negative emotions.

Improves Physical Health: It is no surprise that people who practice gratitude will experience less stress within their lives. This decrease in stress and negative emotions helps individuals live healthier lives.
